Safety is the responsibility of all UO employees and concerns or observations should be reported to the university. Repair and maintenance-related concerns should be reported to Facilities Services departments, and job-related concerns should be reported to supervisors. Additionally, reports may be made to university safety representatives via Report a Concern intake forms.

Reports to the university will be shared with the Safety Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Safety Advisory Committee is to assist the university administration in providing a safe and healthy workplace for all faculty, staff and student workers by making recommendations for change on health and safety issues. The committee serves in an advisory capacity on occupational safety and health issues to the vice president for finance and administration. Non-occupational campus safety and health concerns may also be reviewed by the committee, and if necessary, referred to the appropriate university organization for disposition.
