Special events on University of Oregon property are a constant occurrence. The Fire Prevention team is committed to assisting UO departments, event planners, vendors, concessionaires, and other parties planning for and conducting graduation ceremonies, fairs, trade shows, carnivals, or other common venue events. The goal is to inform event organizers about applicable requirements of the Oregon Fire Code, guide them to achieve code compliance, and ensure that events are conducted with a reasonable level of life safety and property protection.
