UPDATE: On June 10, a suspect was arrested and charged with burglary by UO Police Department. 

June 4, 2025, 1:20 p.m.

A student reported that their backpack was stolen from their room in Justice Bean Hall on Sunday, June 1 between 9 and 10 p.m. The backpack contained a laptop and other items.  UOPD has identified two suspects. 

The suspects entered Justice Bean Hall by following a resident, first into the courtyard and then into the south courtyard staircase. Neither suspect used an access card. 

UOPD is asking for your assistance in locating the suspects and preventing further crimes in residence halls. If you see these suspects, have additional information, or know their whereabouts, please contact UOPD at 541-346-2919. 

• Suspect 1 is a Black male, early 20s, wearing a dark sweatshirt and sweatpants.
• Suspect 2 is  Black male, early 20s, wearing a dark t-shirt and sweatpants.
