On Feb. 20, a University of Oregon Portland employee reported a burglary occurred at the Campus Center Duck Den on Wed., Feb. 19. A video console was taken.
The suspects are two young males. The two are seen on surveillance footage visiting the Duck Den just before 5 p.m., looking around the room and then disabling a door lock. The suspects then returned through the same disabled door just after 6 p.m., removed and took the console when they left.
Suspect 1 – approximately 12 year old white male, skinny build, with brown, short hair and glasses, wearing a green hoodie, black t-shirt, gray sweatpants and black crocs on both visits.
Suspect 2 – approximately 12 year old white male, skinny build, with blond, short hair, wearing a black hoodie, dark gray sweatpants and black crocs on the first visit. On the second visit, the suspect was wearing a dark grey sweatshirt with a black beanie.
This incident is under investigation. Report criminal activity (such as a break-in or intruder, robbery, or assault) immediately to 9-1-1, or for non-emergency situations on campus, to UOPD Portland at 503-412-3700.

No action or inaction by a crime survivor makes that person responsible for his or her victimization. Perpetrators are responsible for crimes and their effects. The following suggestions may help reduce the possibility of experiencing such a crime or may improve opportunities to receive prompt assistance.
- Communities are safest when members look out for each other: report any suspicious activity or unauthorized strangers immediately.
- Secure your belongings and don’t leave them unattended.
- Make sure doors and windows are locked.
- Don’t hold doors open for unknown people to let them enter private, secure areas.
- Be alert traveling to, from, and around campus – especially at night.
- Carry a well-charged cell phone with emergency numbers pre-programmed.
- UO Portland security guards can walk students, faculty, and staff to their vehicles in the parking lot, and to nearby bus stops. Security can be reached at 503-412-3700. The UO Portland Security Office is located on the second floor of the UO Portland Campus Center.
- Bystanders should try to be aware of their surroundings, and if there are signs of a person in distress, bystanders should make themselves known and offer assistance if it is safe to do so, and/or seek immediate help from police or security personnel.
