University of Oregon’s 2025 Electrical Testing Day begins at 8:00 a.m. today, August 6, 2025. Campus-wide testing is scheduled to end around 3:00 p.m. A message will be sent when testing is complete.
The testing schedule and latest information can be found on Campus Planning and Facilities Management’s Electrical Testing webpage.
Facilities campuswide may experience up to a 10-second power outage each time campus switches in and out of “island mode” (testing schedule). Preparation has been done throughout campus to minimize impacts to classroom technology, servers, and sensitive lab equipment.
ADDITIONALLY, power will be shut off for 75-120 minutes for building-level tests in:
- 8:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Volcanology Hall and Columbia Hall
- 10:00 a.m. – noon Susan Campbell Hall and Gerlinger Hall
- 12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Fenton Hall and Condon Hall
- 1:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. McKenzie Hall
Anyone with questions or reports about technology impacts should first check the Service Status website then contact the User Support Services team for their unit or their department’s IT staff if questions remain.
